Standard Operating Procedure of Asphalt Plant

Check before the start

1. Make sure the oils of gear, air compressor and other parts are full and no spill.
2. Heat the asphalt measurement with blowtorch.
3. Make sure the temperature of heat conducting oil and bitumen is normal.
4. Make sure the screws of the critical pieces such as vibrating screen are not loose.
5. Make sure the normal condition of each transmission belt and chain.

Start the asphalt mixing plant

1. Ring before start the asphalt mixing plant in case there are people in danger areas.
2. Turn on the motor of main power supply and secondary power unit of the control house.
3. The following parts of asphalt mixing plant should be operated in order: draught fan,mixer,vibrating screen,elevator,drying drum,oblique belt,flat belt,frequency conversation to electricity,powder hoist,spiral 2,spiral 1,spiral 3 and air compressor (both draught fan and mixer are second start-up)
4. After opening the industrial computer,start the blast blower (blast blower is also second start-up,and after that, the next step could began for at that time the current is high).

Operate the asphalt mixing plant

1. Wait 3 minutes after the start of the draught fan and blast blower ,then,ignite the burner when the signal " START "on the control panel began to twinkle.
2. The electrical spark device began to work after pressing the "STARE" button 3 seconds and turn on the gas or acetylene. If the function succeeds,the indicating lamps "START" "HEAVY OIL""PUMP ON" would be always on,if not,please try again.
3. Meanwhile,open the ventilation doors of draught fan and blast blower and turn on the frequency converter to load materials.At this time, don't put too much sand and stone which would lead to slow temperature rise. Normal quantity of materials could be loaded until the temperature reaches 100℃. Change the blast blower ventilation door to "AUTO" when the temperature reaches 130℃.
4. Each day when the feed preparation began, about 9-12 plates materials have to be manually operated for the mixer is cold. Then, change the mode to "AUTO" and press it.

Stop the asphalt mixing plant

1.Change the frequency converter speed to half or one third of the normal speed when there are about five plates materials remained.
2.Turn off the frequency converter and stop loading materials when there are still four plates of materials. Press the signal "STOP" about 3 seconds to shut the burner down when the current began to drop. Now, the indicating lamps " HEAVY OIL" "START" "PUMP ON" are all off. Change the blast blower ventilation door to "MAN" and press the "CLOSE" until the "START" began to flicker. Now it is time to turn off the blast blower.
3.Change the mode to "MANUAL" when there are only one plate of materials, hit the "INTERRUPT INGREDIENTS " at the bottom of the screen and put down the last plate manually.
4.Put the fine stone and sand into the mixer and mix for a moment. Then clean out the remained materials and bitumen.
5.Turn off each part of the asphalt mixing plant in reverse order that turn on it( The temperature of the drying drum should less than 90℃), then stop the industrial computer and turn off the secondary power unit, main power and current source of burner console. Turn off the knife switch lastly.
